Anil Kak

Col. (Retd)

Progressive Schools are a creation of Col. Anil Kak (Retd) who is a retired combat solider and educated in Lawrence School Sanawer. On leaving the Armed Forces, he took charge of Daly College Indore till 1995 which is a residential public school. His analysis and views on education for children was formulated and influenced by the experience of his own and children’s education and he felt that a drastic change in the approached to children’s education was required. For this purpose he removed textbooks till Class VIII, designed a unique curriculum and method as would be required by the child on leaving school.

Changing the understanding of a child’s education is a major effort requiring consistent determination and belief. The small percentage of parents who have believed in our system and subsequently in the success of their children in achieving a happy life continue to be the foundation of our school. His beliefs about education are now slowly gaining traction as visible through social media.

From time to time he has been supported in his efforts by various individuals who have also accepted his beliefs through practical experience in running his schools. Some of the prominent names associated with the development of Progressive Schools over the years has included Mr. Arjun Singh Kak who is the Managing Trustee and Chairperson of the Trust and of the Society running Progressive Education Schools. He has been mainly educated abroad in U.K. in Malvern College and subsequently Imperial College London.

Ms. Arti Chauhan

Mrs. Neeti Malhotra

East Campus Principal

The principals of the two campus are Ms. Neeti Malhotra and Ms. Arti Chauhan, both of whom highly competent and have understood our revised beliefs in providing school education and the quality of staff and environment required to do so.  Progressive Schools always welcomes to their institutions staff and parents / students who are dissatisfied with the current system of education and believe that like and every other aspect of human life there should be the freedom and should not be limited or denied by the prevailing education system.

The greatest gift a leader can give is the courage to explore, the wisdom to question, and the freedom to grow.

Education is not just about academics; it’s about empowering students with the skills and confidence to excel in an ever-evolving world.

Great leaders don’t set out to be leaders. They set out to make a difference. It’s never about the role always about the goal.

Great leaders in education don’t set out to lead; they set out to inspire and uplift. It’s never just about their role always about nurturing the potential of every child
